April Nicholle "Gauri" Hunziker, has a Master's in Arts in English Creative Writing: Poetry. A former professional dancer, she left ballet at the age of twenty-two to pursue music. To enhance her songwriting abilities, she studied poetry writing at University of North Texas under the direction of Dr. Bruce Bond. Subsequently she moved to France. In all, she has lived in seven states and four countries.
She has studied world religions and Integral Yoga for the last eighteen years. Integral Yoga was instrumental to her recovery from bulimia and has been a significant and daily source of strength, balance, and stability ever since.She is a freelance writer, certified Integral Yoga Instructor, and musician, and currently appears with the Denver band, Cain & April with the Original Sinners.
